HopeRising collects only what is necessary to provide you with recovery support services. This includes your email address (used for account authentication), and the recovery data you voluntarily enter — such as urge logs, journal entries, and streak counts.

We do not collect your name, phone number, or payment card details directly. Payment information is handled securely by our payment processor (Stripe) and is never stored on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve HopeRising services:

• Authenticating your account and maintaining your session
• Displaying your personal recovery stats, streaks, and journals
• Generating personalized program recommendations
• Improving the platform through anonymized, aggregated analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) with 256-bit AES encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Your recovery data is associated only with your anonymous user ID — not your real-world identity.

We implement industry-standard security practices including access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

4. Anonymous Usage

HopeRising is designed to be as private as possible. You can use the platform without entering your real name. Your recovery journey is your own — we treat it with the discretion it deserves.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can request data deletion by emailing support@hoperising.app. We will process your request within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use only essential, functional cookies to maintain your logged-in session. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
