By creating an account or using HopeRising ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HopeRising is a digital self-help platform providing tools for habit tracking, urge logging, journaling, and recovery education. The Service is designed to supplement — not replace — professional medical or psychological treatment.

⚠️ HopeRising is not a medical service, therapy provider, or crisis intervention service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact a licensed professional or emergency services immediately.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it updated. You may not share your account with others or create accounts for impersonation purposes.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

HopeRising offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, effective at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use HopeRising to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Harm, threaten, or harass other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without written permission

6. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and materials within HopeRising are owned by HopeRising Labs Inc. and protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. HopeRising Labs Inc. makes no warranty regarding the effectiveness of any recovery program, the accuracy of educational content, or the uninterrupted availability of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HopeRising Labs Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
